01 - In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, milk, cinnamon, and salt. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
02 - Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the oats are creamy and have absorbed most of the liquid, about 5–7 minutes.
03 - Stir in the maple syrup or honey and cook for another 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat.
04 - Divide the creamy oats between two bowls.
05 - Top each bowl with fresh berries, banana slices, chopped nuts, coconut, and seeds as desired.
06 - Serve immediately, optionally drizzling with extra honey or maple syrup.
